The students (Tia Freeman, Louis Kavallares, Izzy Rodda, Harrison Sims, Maddie Wright, Jack Cillins and Connor Wheat) attended the training day at TLA, which was led by staff including Mr. Gwynn and Ms Groves. They discovered many of the different formats that can be used in competitive activity and had a go a participating in a variety of them.
They then had to mix with other sports leaders from local secondary schools in order to plan and run either a Year 5&6 basketball tournament, a Year 5&6 Table tennis tournament, a Y1&2 Endball competition and a Y 3&4 New Age Kurling Competition.
The Angmering students did an excellent job with their involvement in the aspect of the day, and the resulting events were a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by the 13 different teams that took part.
We look forwards to their future involvement in helping to maintain the high standards of Angmering Sports Leaders and enabling many more young students to have access to compeitive sport.
