They did an excellent job in explaining the carousel of twelve different sports events that emphasise fundamental movement skills such as catching, kicking, running, jumping and agility. With teams of up to twelve youngsters in each team this was a challenging task, but they rose to it magnificently, revealing the leadership skills expected of Angmering sports leaders, including responsibility, understanding and effective communication. A typical comment that was received from a spectating parent was... “Those leaders have done a fantastic job and are a real credit to the school” (East Preston Infant’s School Parent).
The leaders are all part of the Angmering Leadership passport scheme in which they are rewarded whilst gaining valuable skills and experience as they volunteer their time and support for activities within the PE department, locality and local sports clubs.
Many thanks go to the leaders for their brilliant work.
