They were awarded their Young Ambassador shirts and badges after completing the training course which provided them with the required skills to act as official timekeepers, starters and marshals for track events & measurers and organisers for field events such as long jump, shot put and javelin.
It is hoped that they will now continue their leadership journey and take on more senior roles when volunteering and organising local cluster primary events, inter-school competitions and even inter-school competitions at Angmering as they strive for excellence..
Following the training course, the leaders all did a magnificent job in ensuring that the athletics competition, which was to discover the area finalists for the School Games in July for Year 7's, ran smoothly and finished on time. With the majority of the Angmering Young Ambassadors at the finish line taking times and logging results, this was never really in doubt. Unfortunately, the Angmering Year 7's finished 4th after a sterling effort form the team.
