The leaders were responsible for organising their teams, demonstrating how to play the eleven different games and then scoring the teams as they competed. They also played a fundamental role in setting up the equipment and packing it away at the end.
The children had a great evening of activity and left the school with huge smiles on their faces, largely due to the leadership skills of our students who showed maturity, responsibility, enthusiasm and who were, once again a great advert for sports leadership in the skills. The infant teachers and parents were keen to praise their work.
All the leaders are part of the sports leadership passport scheme in which they develop their skills and endeavour to achieve different levels of leadership status. Anyone interested in joining the scheme or volunteering to lead in sporting events should see Mr. Gwynn or their PE teacher for further information.
The sports leaders were:
Thomas Crook, Niamh Kerrison, Catherine Topham, Amy Leadbeatter, Abi Robins, Allan Fraser, Marco Marra, Rachel Sayers, Phoebe Weedon and Joe Thornton
