First we all arrived and met up. Then Mr Gwynn told us that the runners were going to do 20 laps round the field. The race started and Kate, Lawson, Aiden and Joe all ran really fast and as hard as they could and did really well.
(Some of the other schools included year 6s in their teams and we are only year 5!)
Elsa, Kate, Lawson, and Ella all got ready for swimming.
We practised for a while then Mr Gwynn said "you will do 60 lengths between you".
(The pool was outside and heated) Suddenly, Mr Gwynn Started the race. The race began which was hard going as there wasn't much room. When we were near the finish on our last lap, we gave each other a thumbs up under the water to say "you're doing very well".
Over all EPJS came second !!! Our parents cheered us on all the way.
We all had lots of fun and are proud to come second place for our school. Thank you to Mr Bateman for organising our team and Mrs Tabor for taking us.
